First off: If you are a beginner and just want to start wrestling, this is not for you. We have a fulltime wrestling school in the wXw Wrestling Academy in Essen. Training is on every day of the week. Log on to wrestling-academy.de or email info@wrestling-academy.de to schedule a free training before you commit.

If you're not a beginner and have thus skipped the first paragraph, this may be for you:

wXw has held tryouts in 2013 and 2015. With the amount of events with run and all the work it takes to maintain a pro wrestling company our creative team does not find the time to visit other events or watch much wrestling outside of wXw. We work with a group of wrestlers that has committed exclusively to wXw in Germany. However, we are always looking for additions. If you feel we should get to know you, then please read on.

We are never looking for finished products, we are looking for wrestlers who already had a solid amount of matches and now want to take the next step in their career and grow with wXw. You need to bring something to the table, we do want you to look like an athlete, we'd like you to be able to cut a promo, to wrestle a match and to entertain a crowd. All of these factors will be evaluated on the day of your tryout.

If you feel you can already be an asset to us: Please, go ahead and try out.
If you feel you're lacking some of the criterias above but want in-depth feedback and maybe a place to train and work in the future: Try out.

Last year's tryout consisted of a group of 15 wrestlers from 6 countries. Out of those 15 6 wrestler have later on received matches on wXw events or events from our partner promotions. Some of those wrestlers are part of our core roster today.

All wrestlers in the tryout have received in-depth feedback on how to advance in their career. Some of them are still in touch with us, even though they are not ready for wXw yet. We do watch their progress and some of them are already or will be wrestling on our Wrestling Academy events to obtain the necessary level to work for wXw.

The 2016 TRYOUTS will be held on January 15th & 16th, 2016, in Essen and Oberhausen.
Tryouts are going to start early afternoon on the 15th in Essen. The best participants of the tryout will receive another tryout match on the 16th before the wXw Back 2 the Roots event in Oberhausen.
All participants of the tryouts are going to be invited to the event itself.

We do not want to earn money with those tryouts, we want to scout talent. However, to prevent people from just dropping by without serious intentions, we are going to charge a protective fee of 40 EUR per person.
